What is My Mailing Address in WML?

When you move to White Mountain Lake, you will likely come across the issue of what, exactly, your mailing address is. Your mailing address actually depends on where you get your mail. Here’s how it works out here…

Show Low Post Office

If you are having postal mail delivered to your house, your mailing address is:
Your Name
Your Street Address
Show Low, AZ 85901

Your mail will be delivered from the Show Low post office, not the WML post office.

(There are important steps you must take in order to get your mail, so please read this whole post!)

White Mountain Lake Post Office

The WML post office has post office boxes for rent. If you rent a P.O. Box from this location, your mailing address is:
Your Name
PO Box (your box)
White Mountain Lake, AZ 85912

The WML post office also has services for you to send out mail and packages. They can tell you all the other services that are offered, too. But you will not receive mail through here unless you rent a P.O. box from here.

FedEx and UPS

FedEx and UPS will also deliver to your house when you use the mailing address with Show Low, AZ 85901.

You may get packages delivered to your Post Office Box, if you rent one, with your White Mountain Lake, AZ 85912 address.

Can I Use Both Post Offices?

Sure! You can have a post office box with a WML, 85912 address and you can get home delivery with a Show Low, 85901 address. It all depends on which address you give out.

You Must Do This to Get Mail Delivery!

BEFORE you are ready to have mail delivered to your WML house, you must take a tiny trip to the Show Low post office to register. (Our WML post office cannot do this for you… you must go to the Show Low post office.)

Because this is a rural community, you must register with the post office.

Everyone who will be receiving mail needs to take 2 forms of ID with them when registering.

If you do not have a mailbox at your property because you just built a house, the post office will tell you where to locate it. This is important, too, because the mail delivery people travel one way down a lot of the streets, so all the mailboxes will be on one side of the road, depending on how they run the route. They don’t go up one side of the street and back down the other side on most streets here.

(Unrelated to postal mail, but your garbage can pick up location may be in front of your house, or it may be across the street from your house….again, based on which one way they travel down your street.)
