Community Garden

We will be forming a committee for all interested persons to get-together and organize the building and operation of a community garden to be located adjacent to the Post Office. Anyone wishing to be involved in future communications about the garden please email me to let me know.

Current membership is 11. The more the better.

Donations promised

  • Greenhouse, plus solar and new camera system (by Rob Meyer and the Arizona Tesla Science Foundation)
  • Starter plants (by Ashley Dodds, Clinton Bailey and Samantha Little)
  • Sign- I need to obtain name of business

Items members are actively seeking donations for/items still needed

  • Top soil
  • Cement
  • Wood for beds
  • Temporary fencing
  • Algae
  • Worms
  • Compost
  • PVC piping for irrigation
  • Water catch systems x2
  • Someone to clear the designated area of rock, weeds, etc.

Anyone that is willing to help obtain these donations and/or donate these items, please email Jessica DeLaney.

The White Mountain Lake Community Association is a 501(c)(3) so any donations may be tax deductible.

Other items of note

Anyone wishing to take home harvested produce from the community garden must be a member of the association ($20 annual fee) to help offset the costs of renting the land and water. Applications are at the Post Office or can be found online here.

Volunteers that do not need any harvested produce do not need to be a member.
